About the ASC

The Academic Success Center (ASC) at North Florida College contains the Tutor Lab and is part of the Learning Resources Department, located inside the Library (Building 4). The ASC exists to provide all NFC students, regardless of academic proficiency, the help and support necessary to ensure successful completion of studies and programs.

Step 1: Review the Job Description

Step 2: Request & Complete an Application

Printed applications can be picked up in-person from the Tutor Lab Manager's office (Building 4).

Digital applications are available by request. Call 850-973-9458 or email Kinseyb@nfc.edu.

Step 3: Schedule & Complete a Skills Assessment

  • Upon receiving the completed Peer Tutor application, the Tutor Lab Manager will reach out to applicants to schedule a time to complete a Skills Assessment.
  • The nature of the Skills Assessments depends on the subject(s) applied for and instructions for completing them will be provided to applicants.
  • All Skills Assessments must be completed in the ASC Tutor Lab (Bldg. 4 on Main Campus).
